Educators now realize that proper nutrition, stimulating play, and a safe environment has an impact not only on the development of the mind but lays a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning. First Love partnered with the Molweni community in South Africa to build Siyazama Preschool. This community had never had a facility dedicated to preschool-age children. As we continued to work with the Molweni community, we saw an overwhelmingly positive affect on not just the children but the entire family. We want to share these successes with other communities in South Africa. Our experience has taught us that there are a few key ingredients needed to accomplish our goals of seeing children well rounded and prepared to enter their next stage of education. The TREND Program is the proven model that will successfully transform a community through early childhood development.
